"I am definitely a maker and I tend to

lose interest in the pot once it left the

wheel.  It’s the making that interests

me and only recently has the glazing

and firing aspect excited me.

The process of wood firing in an

anagama kiln has influenced my new

way of thinking.  Wood firing is very

labor intensive and as such it extends

the process of the making."
