All Blow Slots must be paid for in advance. Island Glassworks accepts cash, Visa/Mastercard and personal checks (local only). Cancellations must be given at least 5 days in advance of blow slot.
Rental time is for the production of work only: No other activity, such as private lessons, events, demonstrations or any activity considered detrimental to the studio may be conducted without the express consent of Island Glassworks, LLC. Renters participating in unauthorized activity will forfeit blow slots at their expense and limit their chances of renting again.
Renters must be punctual: A ½ hour cushion will be allowed at the start of a blow slot. After that, gloryhole will be turned off and blow slot will be forfeited at the expense of the renter.
Supplies & Tools: Island Glassworks encourages all renters to bring any tools and supplies of their own. Tools are available, however, variety/quality is limited. Color is not provided by Island Glassworks. All users of the studio are required to wear eye protection and covered shoes. Clothing should be made of natural fibers.
Assistants: It is understood that Island Glassworks does not provide assistants for anyone renting studio time. Renters are responsible for finding and providing their own qualified assistants. Island Glassworks can recommend and provide contact info of qualified assistants and also retains the right to refuse a renters choice of assistant.
Clean Up: Renters are responsible for cleaning up any mess they make. Sweep bench and gloryhole areas, wipe down marver and return all used equipment. A $25 charge will be assessed to anyone who leaves a mess. Work must be picked up within 48 hours of blowslot, failure to do so will result in a $20/day storage fee.
