Damage fee: Artists will be charged the full replacement cost of tools and equipment if they are used without approval or if they are misused, damaged or lost.
Overage: Renters will be charged an hourly rate of $50/hr on top of their rental fee for any fraction of an hour over their reserved blow time.
Unacceptable Behavior: Island Glassworks, LLC reserves the right to dismiss any renter, without refund, for behavior that is disruptive to the working environment.
Drugs & Alcohol: Consumption of alcohol is not permitted in or outside of Island Glassworks, LLC. The use of illegal drugs while at Island Glassworks is also prohibited. We do not tolerate behavior that jeopardizes your safety or the safety of others. Island Glassworks is a non-smoking facility.
Bad Glass Policy: In the case of “bad glass” during a rental slot, it is the artist’s responsibility to report it to the Studio Manager within 30 minutes of your start time. No refunds will be granted if the renter fails to notify management within 30 minutes.
Equipment Failure: Artists are entitled to a full refund of fees if the annealers or gloryholes malfunction or if Island Glassworks, LLC cannot provide scheduled equipment. Island Glassworks, LLC, however, is not responsible for material and labor losses.
*Island Glassworks, LLC reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who may be a danger to themselves, others or the equipment while working in the studio. Renters under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol will forfeit blow slots and be asked to leave the premises.
